Variety reports that 20th Century Fox has hired Akiva Goldsman to executive produce a reboot of the franchise from a script by “Heroes” and “Green Lantern” writer, Michael Green.
There is also no word yet on if 20th Century Fox would make us sit through the origin story of the “Fantastic Four” again.
Actress Alice Eve is in the running for the part of Sue Storm.
More news about the production is that the movie will use CGI to create the Thing. It sounds like they’re going to take a page from the Hulk movies and have something similar for the film. This could be good or really, really bad.
Also cropping up are casting rumors for other roles. Adrian Brody is reportedly in the running for the role of Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic. Also under consideration is Jonathan Rhys Meyers, best known for his work on Showtime’s “The Tudors.”
Not a fan of Mr. Brody and hope this is indeed a rumor without merit
