Heroes creator Tim Kring has revealed that he is still in discussions about finding a way to wrap up the series.
The show was canceled by NBC earlier this year but Kring later admitted that he is thinking about making some more episodes or a movie to wrap up the story lines.
According to The Mirror, Kring has now revealed that talks with NBC are still ongoing.
"We all thought there was going to be another series," he said. "The truth is, we are still talking to the network about how to wrap up the show in some way for the fans, but no decision has been made about how we're going to do that."
Does this remind anyone of Shatner hanging around the Paramount lot with his Tek-world novels?
He added: "As to how to continue this brand that everyone recognizes, [this is] a very potent brand across the world. I'm still very involved in trying to wrap that up on air for the fans and hopefully we'll have something to announce very shortly."
I know right,..Fans?
Kring also suggested that Heroes could continue off television, saying: "The Heroes universe is a very deep one and it extends across all sorts of platforms, and in a world where there are any number of characters, there is a very deep canon and mythology and it can very easily extend across multiple platforms - online, publishing, comic books, gaming and all that kind of stuff. I am hoping to explore that with the network, who owns the property."
Hopefully 'Heroes LARP's' are not among the platforms.
Kring has previously said that a future movie could benefit from "distance" from the television series.
I agree with Kring...might be best to let the world forget how boring and soooo not good the series had become.
