I got to watch my first episode of Merlin and was impressed. I rather enjoyed it! I saw the episode where a troll had assumed the form of a woman who seduces the king (Uther Pendragon). The episode ends on a cliffhanger. The story was a little predictable but I enjoyed the characters and the episode overall. I found myself urging Merlin on to stop the troll!

If you haven't checked it out, it's on after Stargate Universe. Since this is my first episode, I'd be interested in finding if anyone else has watched it and what the other episodes have been like.

I have not caught any yet, but have heard a lot of good comments from others. It is one I may have to try to main line at some point and catch up.
The production values look pretty good if nothing else.
This was a BBC production wasn't it?

Goodrich Castle, Goodrich, Ross-on-Wye, Herefordshire, England, UK
Penshurst Place, Penshurst, Kent, England, UK

I really enjoyed these series and am currently on the look out for when series 3 starts! :)

Its good to see channels like the BBC get back to what they are good at rather than all this reality TV $%^&.

I saw the season finale and WOW! This is just a GOOD series! Merlin meets his father who winds up dying shortly thereafter. Poor Merlin. The production values are first-rate, the stories are compelling and the acting is very good. I'm glad it didn't end on a cliffhanger but am looking forward to the next season.
