I really liked the first Matrix movie. In fact I consider it a masterpiece of '90s filmmaking. Thought the end was perfect and I was really disappointed when I learned that the Wachowski brothers had planned on it being a trilogy all along. And now 2 more? The magic of the first movie was figuring out (and watching Neo figure out) that reality was "bendable". After that they just didn't have anything more interesting to say.
Agreed. The Wachowskis must be sniffing that same horse-derived glue that Lucas has been abusing for the last twenty years.
