Syfy’s newest reality series Insane or Inspired? will premiere Friday, May 25 at 10PM (ET/PT). Each hour-long episode will count down the craziest, most hilarious and exciting videos from the internet that lean into the world of imagination, invention, and extreme experiences.



Actors Amber Benson (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), Samm Levine (Freaks & Geeks), Brooke Hogan, Ralph Garman, as well as television personality Josh Gates, host of Syfy’s Destination Truth, join comedians Ben Gleib, Owen Benjamin, Al Jackson, Jodi Miller, Elliot Chang, Jermaine Fowler, Adam Ray, Christina Pazistky, KT Tatara and Janet Varney to provide their unique commentary on each of the clips.

The series premiere episode, “25 Wildest Homebrewed Superheroes” showcases some of the most impressive, creative, and hilarious acts of backyard bravery and ingenuity posted on the internet! These fearless, everyday individuals attempt feats seen only in the pages of comic books, from shooting flames from their hands to constructing zombie-killing machete-slingshots and everything in between. Through it all, our cast of comedians and television personalities will break it down, from the genuinely amazing to the amazingly wild. In future episodes, Insane or Inspired? will explore ingenious inventions, creative backyard stunts and the wildest feats and flops on the web.

Another 'B' list series, coupled with 'D' list 'Celebrities' to frack it up even further. I give it one series, if it even makes it that far.

The only show like this that actually succeeds is “The Smoking Gun Presents – The Worlds Dumbest…”

History shows again and again how nature points up the folly of man

I think the problem with this show will be less with the "celebrities" and more with the subject matter.

Think about it, the prime demographic that advertisers want for any show is that 18 to 35 years old. That demographic is probably more in connected than any other and if it was the "big meme" on Youtube or what have you, then they have already seen it, shared it, laughed at and/or discussed it with their friends and some may have already tried to duplicate it.

So why would they want to watch it and watch other people sit around and discuss it on their TV????
