Carl Kolchak, (portrayed by Darren McGavin) saw two popular TV movies and one short, but fantastic season on television before he disappeared off the airwaves like one of the strange and unexplainable occurrences that he investigated week to week.
Long held as the inspiration for The X-Files, Kolchak: The Nightstalker has been a cult favorite and watched and re-watched by sci-fi, horror and mystery fans for over 30 years.
