With the Japanese live action Yamato film and the plans for a US made version of Star Blazers on the big screen, fans of the original material will be able to experience it again. The SyFy channel is now listing Star Blazers for April 21st which is where the anime line-up will be as it's moving away from Mondays. The series will be tied with two episodes of Chrono Crusade from 11PM to 12AM and then two episodes of Starblazers will follow afterward.

Starblazers originally ran in the US for 77 episodes, going from 1979 until 1984 for three seasons.


I'm fine with almost all of this. All but a US remake. Why and how do they expect this to work? Hate to be a naysayer but come on....

I was amazed at what was chopped in the US airings when I finally watched the actual Japanese. My first introduction to a "cartoon" that wasn't necessarily for kids.
