It is hard to believe that this event went from barely filling a small sports arena, the hallway of a sports arena really, to filling half the floor of Cincinnati's Duke Energy Convention Center! in just 3 years!

Every year the event coordinators have done an amazing job of bringing a wide variety of exhibitors, artists, and publishers to the Expo.
This year was amazing!

Brought together this year was four of the most influential artist of Swamp Thing comics;

Thomas Yeates, Rick Veitch, John Totleben, and Stephen Bissette.

There were dozens of other recognizable artist and writers there as well and all available for autographs, custom art work, or to just shake your hand and talk.

Also this year they had some TV/movie guests including young Chandler Riggs, "Carl", from AMC's The Walking Dead. He did a short Q&A panel and spoke of his experiences on the set, his enjoyment of being part of the program and did a great job in building up some anticipation for season 3. (Without giving any details of course.)

As with any good convention there was a fair amount of cosplay.
(and I even got a chance to get the upper hand on one of the 501st finest!)

This young man actually made his sonic screwdriver out of Legos!

Speaking of Legos, a display caught my attention as well as just about everyone else, A huge Lego town! Complete with super heroes and villains!

Once again the Expo exceeded all expectations! The show runners should be proud of their accomplishments and I think they will continue to bring attention to Cincinnati and help fill the void in geeky fun!
