Ray Bradbury has passed away at the age of 91. His contribution to the science fiction written word was tremendous and he will be missed.

Just coming to post this.. This kills me. He was maybe THE sci-fi author for me. My signature line comes from a book of his essays, Bradbury Speaks, and incredible look at his world and how he saw it.

I grew up with The Martian Chronicles, got my first taste of a future that wasn't so bright and cheery with Fahrenheit 451 and sat mesmerized in my car, often nearly missing lights, by hearing him read a collection of his short stories on CD.

Even thought I knew this day had to come, I'm absolutely gutted.
