During the 10 year run of Mystery Science Theater 3000, Kevin worked behind the scenes and in front of the camera to provide the yucks, the guffaws, and snide remarks of one of our favorite 'bots, Tom Servo.

We talk about his introduction to MST3k, the humble beginnings of the show, and his thoughts on movies today.

Enjoy!

If you want to really get inside Kevin's head about movies today as well as the films of yesterday, check out his book A Year at the Movies: One Man's Filmgoing Odyssey. You'll laugh! You'll cry! You'll want to see a movie!

Awesome interview, Timelord. =D>

Hopefully, Kevin will be open to doing a follow-up chat.

Dah, the front page references 20 years, this page references 10 years...

I don't recall the Comedy channel existing 20 years ago...

In any case, which is true???

The Comedy Channel started up in the fall of 1989. Don't feel bad for not knowing that tho. Frank Conif mentions on the 20th anniversary DVD that they went from almost not being on TV (since they were on a low power UHF station) to almost not being on cable (since almost nobody had the Comedy Channel in those early years).

You are correct, Sir. The Comedy Channel merged with rival Ha! to form Comedy Central.
