Film Synopsis: Truck driver Phil (
Dick Contino) and platinum blonde Janet try to expose an illegal drug running operation responsible for the murder of Phil's good friend Sonny.
Intro: The employees of "Sat-O-Love Industries" are doing what all "Mad Dogs" of marketing do on Monday morning... "hanging out at the water-cooler", and "telling tales out-of-school." Also, they're checking out the "new girls" in the office, Gypsy and Magic Voice.
Invention Exchange: Dr 'F' is feeding the "miracle growth formula baby", so Joel gets to do the Invention Exchange first. Joel presents the "Air Freshener Mobile". "The brightly colored air fresheners hanging from strings stimulates baby's tiny brain, while the motion of the mobile activates charcoal filters which covers up the foul odor of baby's 'Checher', 'Ca-Ca', 'Po-Po', ''Nimbus', 'B.M.' and 'Poopies'!" The Mads present the "Alien Teething Nook" (a soothing pacifier for the baby, which to an onlooker appears to be an alien 'face-hugger'!)
Host Segments:
Host 1: Joel and the Bots perform the swingin' rock tune "Hike Up Your Pants", to the rhythm of Dick Contino's "Rock Candy Baby".
Host 2: Crow, Tom and Joel re-enact the drag race scene (with the help of Cambot) from today's experiment.
Host 3: Joel teaches the Bots about a comedy cornerstone... "The Spit-Take". He demonstrates the "Chinese Fan", "Old Faithful" (or a.k.a.: "Wyler's Geyser of Mirth) and the "Juicy Lucy", all the while being interrupted by the movie's 'tough-guy', "Bruce" appearing on the "Hexfield Viewscreen".
End: Joel does some "Strasberg' style acting exercise, re-enacting Phil and Janet's "Want some!?" scene from today's movie. Joel reads
three fan letters! Dr. F and Frank do their own take on "Want some!?", with the fruit being slapped out of one character's hand growing in size each take. (i.e.: apple, orange, cantaloupe, pineapple, watermelon, etc...). The "Button" to end the experiment doesn't work!!! No less than seven attempts were required to get to the 'end credits'. (
Dr. F): "Oh, yes. Now, I remember. Alt F7!"
Stinger: "Couldn't help ya if I wanted to, fella. Gym policy."

~ Once again, MST's own Timothy Scott appears as the "Miracle Growth Formula Baby".

~ The score to the film is composer John Williams' first credited 'movie' soundtrack.
~ Actor Dick Contino is an accomplished accordion player, having performed on many 1950's television variety shows.

~ Pop culture references ranging from 'Elvis', 'Louie Anderson', and 'Ogden Nash' to the TV series "COPS"', 'Frances Farmer' and the 'NBC Mystery Movie'. Once again, as close to a perfect episode as I've seen so far. The boys at 'BBI' have definitely hit a groove, and the writing and presentation are at the highest since the show's inception. Never would have picked this experiment from my memory if asked to choose "what was a really funny episode?" This was like reuniting with an old friend. A great experiment.
