Without implying that what he is doing is OK, why in the hell is Homeland Security and I.C.E involved in what should be either a case for the sheriff in the county he lives in or maybe the FBI if he crossed state lines?

Because I.C.E. is involved, the implications are that he is here illegally, but that doesn't seem to be an issue listed in either story.

But I have to say, I would sure hope that Homeland Security has better, much more important, things to be spending their time on than hardware hacking/software piracy. Silly me, but isn't their job somehow related to our physical well being???

I don't see a hacked console taking out anybody...





I really really hope I'm missing something, because this seems wrong on so many different levels. Job description, idle law enforcement departments, tax-dollars...


Someone help me out... What's the deal here?

Maybe the consoles had a chip that was developed by the Government and placed in the machines to 'learn' before it is placed in the Navy war scenario computer. The hackers could have started Thermo-Nuclear War! (Or at least a stirring game of tic-tac-toe)

Honestly, I'm with you, this is a huge over reach of the whole National threat idea. This should have been a page 4 local blip in some paper somewhere.
