Not a word from Id about a new game for the PC. There is info about Id software getting into making games for phones.
With Microsoft pushing their xbox and xbox 360 and now Id ignoring the PC. It does not look good for PC game development.

Actually MS is planning on launching a major PC Game support initiative with Windows Vista.

Along with easier development tools for developers and in store kiosks supporting PC games, we could see somewhat of a revival for PC gaming.

Not that its doing very badly, it has been losing market share to consoles, but there are still just too many things a PC can do that a Console cannot.

Id has mentioned a new game franchise that will be completely new. It has been 2 years or better since Id put Doom 3 out.
I think the problem is Id has gone fully Corporate and thus now thinks like the other corporate game makers.
They have stabbed their own fans in the back.
They are no longer the gamers game company. Gamers who make games. They lost touch with the gamers. I wonder if another young company made of of people who love PC gaming will spring up.
I am certainly not going to do my gaming on a cell phone and I am not a console fan.

Gaming on Cell Phone.....puuullleaaasseee!!! I dont know what is it up with ID, but as for good gaming companies, I think Bethesda is good, Bioware has always been good.

Activision it one of the worst, I avoid anything they make.
