Anybody else out there play these board games besides my self? I wasted many a hour of my youth figuring out how my Lyran Wildcat Battle Cruiser or my Orion Super Dreadnaught was going to manage to get the upper hand in countless campaign games and scenarios.

Yeah, I played Axis & Allies a lot and Stratego. Oh and Dungeons & Dragons P&P.

Crow & I played Star Trek the Role Playing game via pen & paper.

Then we all got into Magic:The Gathering for a while.

I played Star Fleet Battles way back when. Even started designing Next Generation ships for the game some time between TNG's first and second seasons. Got as far as a Galaxy Class starship and a D'deridex class Romulan warbird. Never could find anyone who wanted to play tho.

Axis & Allies is awesome. Spent many an all-nighter in college trying to take or defend the Balkans when I should have been studying.

There was an even better game that was made by the same folks called Conquest of the Empire. It was re-released briefly a few years ago by Eagle Games. Less complex than A&A so game play was faster.

I played Axis and Allies and Conquest , the guy who designed both of them iniatially did alot of work on SFB. The problem with SFB was it became so complex to play with all of the energy and rules that the game kind of got lost in all of the rules.

Still love the Historical part and have the whole 9 yards as far as the game is concerned.
