no one playing fallout3? I picked up the collector's edition yesterday and have been playing it a bit. Quite liking it, but with exams looming i don't think i'd be able to play much more for a fortnight. sigh.

With Fallout 3, Farcry 2, Red Alert 3, Dead Space, and Wrath looming in a little over a week, it's a busy gaming month.

I never played the original Fallout games and Fallout 3 looks and feels like Oblivion with a Sci-Fi skin and I have no interest in playing Oblivion again, so I am gonna skip out on that one.

Now since I like RTS games, Red Alert 3 is something that I am gonna want to try, but down the road as I have a full plate right now.

Dead Space and Farcry 2 are of little interest to me, I dont play a lot of FPS games to begin with and there is nothing in either of these games that stands out to me. Specially after playing Crysis.

I got put into a real bind with Wrath and Mines of Moria coming out in the same month. I think I am gonna get Wrath first and then jump on Mines early next year.

Albtross and I are having a blast with WoW and the triple XP refer-a-friend is letting us crank out levels like mad. I am half way to level 49 in the 4 weeks since I started playing WoW again.

OK being the damn game whore that I am I go and buy these games and know deep down that they arent going to get the attention they deserve.

Fable 2 I am really enjoying. Its quirky sense of humour and pleasant graphics are a joy to listen to and watch but they have kind of cocked up the progression. As you can pretty much buy the Master weapons early on in the game if you are prepared to spend all your money buying shops and then dont play the game for a week and come back to a small fortune the game decides iteself to ramp up the difficulty making your Master weapons about as effective as crappy weapons. It really doesnt feel like you are using a more powerful sword or gun if the enemy health is boosted to compensate for it. Its the same with the skill progression. My 5 star lightning spell feels about as powerful as my 2 star one was a few days back although it looks more impressive.
The story is the usual affair for Fable but despite this I enjoy walking around trying to be a goody 2 shoes and calling myself Shadowfiend which the villagers find most amusing. Maybe next time I'll be a bastard but I cant bring myself to do it this time round.

Fallout 3 I have just started. Once you get out of the vault into the real world is feels very overwhelming. A hell of a lot more than Oblivion did Im must say and the weapons you get are poop and they feel it too. Im starting to wonder if I should have gone for the PC version because the aiming feels a bit jerky and Im suffering from shooting either side of the enemies as they run at me. Im getting pwned by early game enemies so I really need to find some ways to boost my stats in the right way. It looks amazing but you dare not explore like you could in Oblivion because you'll get raped by a giant mutated creature. I need to give it more time than I can right now.

Saints Row 2 I bought....played....put on the shelf. It gives you WAY too many things to do early on, I'd have preferred to see different areas unlock gradually to stop that feeling. I really want to try co-op out but again this is one I havent had time to play much although I will do. Im still playing Rock Band constantly lol

Lich King....wow....cant WAIT!!! I just went Marksman spec with my hunter and WOW!! I upped my DPS by over 300 which is amazing! Lich King will get a lot more time and attention from me than anything else around currently....until Nov21st when Rock Band 2 comes out in Europe :D

Probably a bit late to the party, but i'm getting into Supreme Commander Forged Alliance at the moment. It's great fun playing with/against a few friends via LAN, and I must say that the UI design (both form and function) is absolutely fantastic. Probably the best i've ever seen in an RTS game.

Nearly finished playing Dead Space. I've quite enjoyed it and it has some good scary moments.

But my main obsession at the moment is Team Fortress 2. We have a good group that play on a user created map called Lazytown. We, a Steam group of (>Nutters<) and can usually be found playing from 8 till late, GMT.

A friend has even created a Website and Forum: http://lazynutters.com/

And our Steam group can be found here: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/LazytownNutters

Take a look, it's a bit of fun :)

Give me a shout if you want to try some Rockband 2 online if you ever see me playing Gibby. Never actually tried it!

All these highstreet shops closing down becuase of this recession still dont have PS3s at reasonable prices. Cheapest I've seen it is £280 give or take £10 and thats still too much for me. Maybe once I buy my 42" TV I'll think about it. I really want to try God of War, Ratchet & Clank and one or two others like Little Big Planet but just that small selection of games isnt enough to make me want to get one yet.

Just started System Shock 2 on PC (Yes i am only just getting to play this now becuase of my impatience with the demo i ignored this game when it originally came out) and Ninja Gaiden Sigma on PS3 (another game i almost missed because of my imptience with the demo)

EDIT: Also trapsing through Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition again on the PC (Third game i ignore before due to my......wait for it....my impatience with the demo and the moral of this story is....).

I forgot how awesome this game is.

Anything to tie me over till Resident Evil 5, Project Origin and Killzone 2 comes oot

I've done a bad thing and started an addiction on Team Fortress 2. i'm "watzisneim" on steam if anyone wants to dig me out, though I tend to play in local Australian servers.

I realize I'm also late on these games, but lately I'm playing:

Left 4 Dead
Half-Life 2 (just finished Half-Life: Source... so I can finally say I've played it)
Demigod

To be played sometime in the future:
Portal
Team Fortress 2
The rest of the Half-Life 2 episodes after I finish Half-Life 2

You will certainly like Portal. I avoided that game for sometime when it initially came out and around a couple of months ago i had a jonzing for some action puzzle games (thank you Braid =D> ) so i fired this up and never looked back. Awesome game and i don't believe i avoided it for so long.

At this point i am in game purgatory. Just finished X-Men Wolverine: Origins which is a pretty fun if not a repetitive and slightly unchallenging game that is IMHO (shock horror) unnecessarily violent....it was just a turn off......i have no problem with violence and gore in games but this one just seemed to relish in its gratuity.....maybe i'm getting a bit to old but i found myself roiling my eyes more than i could imagine.

Also just finished Mirror's edge twice (thank you Nvidia PhysX) and i really enjoyed it although it could get slightly frustrating, was too short for my liking and wished there was a bit more gun combat situations since the little they had was extremely enjoyable. First run was on medium and second run was on hard. Still an awesome game even if the end of game boss and climax (if you call it that) was weak.....an i mean weak.....it just ended without much of a fight or satisfaction.

So far i'm just waiting for payday so i can get me mits on Infamous - The demo was awesome and i can't wait.
