Precursor Legacy? Do you mean Jak & Daxter?
I loved the first J&D but I thought it kinda lost its way after that. It didnt suit the open ended roaming style gameplay of the second game and after that they tried to go a bit mad and it just didnt work.

R&C on the other hand has stayed true to itself and never tried to be anything its not. Linear levels, funny story and visual gags with a whole load of explosions thrown in. The first 3 games are all first class but sadly I have not had the chance to play any on the PS3 yet. As I understand it a second game on the PS3 is in the works? Its really getting close to the point where I might have to get a PS3.....and as for God of War 3.....well Im likely to go nuts if I dont get to play that.

I am seriously looking at Hearts of Iron III that comes out this Friday. Its looks like the grand daddy of all Strategy games ever.

Beyond that, I am starting to get really excited about Dragon Age: Origins from Bioware. The more I see of this game and the Epic size and mature themes, the more I want it.

I went ahead nad pre-ordered Hearts of Iron III through a site called Gamers Gate.

Anyone ever hear of them? They are a digital download service that does not require a client to use like Steam.

Cant say I've heard of them. Sounds like I wouldnt be too happy if I were a game maker though. How do they get around security and things like that? I'd worry that it would be too easy for somebody to download a game and immediately upload it to the torrent network. All thats needed is a new key.

While were on the subject of games.....well....I tried the new Ratchet & Clank for myself yesterday for I have taken the plunge and bought a PS3. Yes yes, kill me now for betraying myself and all that. I blame Xbox for not having any decent games out at the moment.

Anyway, R&C is brilliant already. Piss weak story but hey, who needs a good story in R&C as long as the game play and comedy are all in there and so far it hasnt let me down. My only initial gripe is that I use the strafe/lock button most of the time and there are areas of the game with fixed camera angles that make this button pointless. Also I dont like the analogue buttons on the new pad because it feels like your fingers are sliding off the bottom of them. Other than that....classic Ratchet & Clank.

Oh. I did have that issue when I first tried to install it where it claimed I needed 419mb of space to install it. I downloaded a 500mb demo which took a frikkin AGE!! Then installed it and it worked fine.

I also got Killzone2 and Little Big Planet with it. I have only played LBP which has been sublime! Dont think I've smiled as much while playing a game in a long time. I havent tried Killzone yet but will let you know when I have done.

I just bought the indy games pack that was going for cheap on steam, and have been playing with some of the games on it. World of Goo is fun (but I found the OCD flag, which is bad bad bad bad bad). Braid is pretty, though the levels can be a bit dickish. Crayon Physics is clever. I haven't had much of a go on the rest yet.

Yeah I enjoyed World of Goo but once I completed it with a few OCD rated levels I never played it again.

Crayon Physics Deluxe is far far too easy. I finished that in an afternoon I think.

Havent tried Braid yet, looks interesting but the demo sort of bored me a bit.

Still playing WoW, after 5 years (O_O)... Hubby and I decided we would dust off his copy of Starcraft and play that with one of his work buddies a few months ago. That was fun. I kicked my hubby's butt at starcraft.. lol, he's a sore loser.. :P

Otherwise still dinking around with my little plate ball of uber tankyness in WoW.

Needing something to play, I picked up Red Alert 3 for cheap.

Heh...I forgot how cool FMV can be. I love the cheesy acting and this game is a pretty good RTS as well, I am having pretty good fun with it

Currently Playing Shadow Complex for the Second Time on 360 and also playing Psychonauts on the PC. Why do these awesome games keep slipping through my fingers.

I am still working my way through Red Alert 3 and I picked up a game called Spellforce 2 that is an RPG/RTS hybrid that looks like fun.

I am basically just trying to kill time before Dragon Age: Origins to come out on Nov 3rd.

Now that i have finished shadow complex and is satisfied (awesome game BTW) i also bought Abe's Exoddus on Steam. The demo sold me. I enjoyed Odysee on the PS1 when the game was released initially and surprisingly i loved it. I used to take turns playing with my flat mates and surpprising of all was that i played the game better than they did which was good for me cause they always thrashed me on Tekken :ninja:

Dungeons and Dragons: Online is now free, so I am revisiting this game for the time being.
