NASA is holding an on-line poll to pick the music that will be used as a wake-up call for the astronauts on the final Shuttle mission.

Leading the way so far is the theme from Star Trek! Lets cinch it!

NASA - “The wake-up song has been a part of space program since the days of the Apollo missions, and now NASA is giving you two chances to be a part of this history! We need your help selecting wake-up songs to be played during the final missions of the Space Shuttle Program!”

You can vote HERE.

I'm of the opinion that this is NOT the end of the Shuttle program, but that's just me speculating...

Seems likely that there will be at least one more mission after this one since there is an important experiment that has not yet made it to the ISS. Though this is most certainly going to be the last for Shuttle Discovery, NASA's oldest operating space craft.

The other "last" mission is more iffy. Still I hope they fly it -- even if it's just an "up and around the block" flight.

In a news story today, a contradiction of sorts...

X-37B anyone???

(In an attempt to divert mission capability questions away from what is likely true, the Airfarce is calling the X-37B an updated Space Shuttle... )

That's a bit of a stretch in my mind...
