Currently playing FEAR 2: Project Origin and just started on Deus Ex after seeing it for £2.99. So far it feels good but one thing i must say though......damn the games ugly.....its got a face not even his mother would love. I actually remember comming across the demo when it initially came out.....and promptly uninstalling when i didn't shoot something within the first 5 seconds. Thankfully, i'm a lot more patient now.

Just bidding my time till God of War III

While nowhere NEAR as cool as some people playing Starcraft 2, I got into the Blur beta on XBox Live last night. I can already tell I'm going to be neglecting my movie watching to play this for awhile. It's essentially Need for Speed with Mario Kart-style power ups.

If you have a chance to play it, you absolutely should. I've had so much fun already that I'm perfectly happy to not win races as long as I don't come in dead last.

The hype of Starcraft 2 is better than the game. Really, it is a re-hash of the original with a few new features, some nerfs, and oh, you can play it in a larger resolution. If the single player gets opened up during the beta, then I might like it again.

Currently playing WoW, dug out my copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance (curse the maker for not releasing the second on PC), and going to be checking out Final Fantasy XIII this weekend.

How is Dante's Inferno. I was going to get it until a)i saw the review and b)realised it would be suicide to get a God of War reject just before God of War 3 - A mistake i made when waiting for Gears of War 2 to be released by getting Uncharted.

While i thought the demo was fun, the average reviews it got put me of.....plus i had beyonetta. I'm gonna get Darksiders next month after the awesome demo i hade - again it would have been suicide getting a GOW reject before although from my play-through of Darksiders, it also shares similarities to Zelda....eitherway, i really enjoyed the 90 minute demo.....will get the PS3 version (never thought i would see the day when i get the PS3 version of a multi-platform game)

I actually really enjoyed it from start to finish. The game is seriously demented and you'll be lucky to keep your sanity if you play it with a nice pair of headphones on since the sound effects are awesome. As far as graphical depictions of hell go I'd say it was pretty close to how I'd imagine things to be.
Take the first level of hell (Lust) for example and everything resembles male and female genitalia along with boobs hidden all over the place lol
Theres rivers of molten gold and blood with drowning souls and its pretty damn gratuitous with its violence too.

Bad points for me were a few cheapshot deaths where you can walk or be knocked over the edge of a platform into the gold or blood or whatever the hazard happens to be and you cant jump back out. Sink, death, reload.
Theres a few spots that forced you to be very careful about where you positioned yourself during fights and one or two dodgy jumps that didnt feel very precise. These bad points for me didnt outweigh the overall experience of the game.

Boss fights were enjoyable and didnt feel drawn out too long and the Lust boss in particular really made my skin crawl. lol Just wait until you see it.

One thing I will say though is that it does feel like a poor man's God of War. If I didnt have that series of games to compare it to then it would be excellent. I managed the Classic mode which I think is the Easy mode in about 7.5 hours which isnt all that long but I could see it being a lot longer as things get tougher.

Its not speedy like Bayonetta and really I think that I enjoyed it more. Bayonetta is more like Devil May Cry as DE is more like GoW. The play style is different and I didnt get an achy thumb playing it like I do with Bayonetta.

I'd say, maybe wait a while and pick it up second hand in a few months after you have finished with GoW and the summer release slack off hits :D

I'll be surprised if I play it again once I get my hands on GoW. Hows this for luck though, Im going snowboarding on March 20th. Dont wanna see any major spoilers on here :D

I feel your pain.....or not as the case maybe. Enjoy yourself man :ninja:

My next shift (tomorrow is the last day of my current shift) at work begins on the 19th so i have to wait 4 days to properly play the game

Beating Odin is pretty much luck if you take him as soon as you can. If at all possible farm out as many battles when they re-spawn and fill out all three roles for your healer. The extra HP should help preventing em from getting one-shot.

Currently playing God of War 3 and Deus Ex

God of War 3 is a blinding game that lives up to its predessesors (sp) but damn, some of the voilence is too much, the worst cases being the brutal murdering (that word was intentional) of the Gods and Titans.....i actually found it disturbing. It does not distract from the awesome gameplay which i am enjoying immensely but.....DAMN

Also, i don't believe i missed Deus Ex when it came out. Bloody fine game, well enjoying it.....its still got a face for radio though  :ninja:

I'd personally recommend skipping Mass Effect. The graphics are nice, but they can't make up for the horrible gameplay, script, and "acting".

Yep, got a few games for real cheap in the recent Steam sales. Playing Supreme Commander 2 that was gifted to me. It's not bad but not really my sort of game. Seems to be a battle to build the most bombers and then attack.
Still playing TF2 a lot and have wasted 1228.3 hrs of my life so far on it :) I think there is a big engineer update this Thursday:) I can't seem to get bored of it, and I now have a backlog of games I have bought but not played. Like Crysis, Fuel, GTA4, Burnout Paradise, L4D, L4D2, Cryostasis, NecroVisioN....

Due to teh Steam sale, I have a little bit of a backlog myself.

I still have to finish Batman, but on Steam I got SC2 and Crysis Warhead and I got them installed and thats as far as I have gotten with them.

As for "B" titles, I have put over 40 hours into Defense Grid: The Awakening, this is one really, really fun tower defense game. I also got Magic the Gathering: Planeswalkers, been having fun with that as well I finished the campaigns and done some good online battling with other players.

I am waiting for the arrival of Starcraft II, I am very interested in the single player campaign.

Some of you may find this either funny, sad or boring, especially you Scorp being that you got me hooked on it all those moons ago, as I'm STILL playing (and ONLY playing) Sins along with the expansion packs.

My gaming buddy is growing tired of me kicking his *** in the same game for the last couple of years and wants to find a new game (RTS genre...)

Any suggestions???

We were going to consider Civ 5 when it came out in September, but he doesn't like the idea of turn based play...

Personally, I'm fairly picky about the titles I get into and tend not to play more than 1 or 2 games at a time (as if I have time for any games....).

Starcraft II was/is a possibility, but I wasn't fond of the original, it had a less than "adult" feel to it with some of themes, graphics and sound...
