Actors Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arteton have landed the lead roles in Paramount’s upcoming “Hansel and Gretel” movie.

The film will follow on from the classic fairy tale, chronicling how the duo went on to become bounty hunters after their childhood trauma.

Tommy Wirkola will direct the film, which is set to begin filming in March.

Gemma Arteton is best known for her work in the last Bond movie, “Quantum of Solace” and Renner has been seen in last year’s Oscar-winning film, “The Hurt Locker.”

Paramount reportedly is in a hurry to get filming on “Hansel and Gretel” under way in hopes of beating “Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter” into theaters.

Someone whose name is so obviously evil-sounding that you wonder what their parents were thinking/smoking/drinking.

However, I'm just trying to think of the usual bounty-hunting stereotypical plot. It's not a common one because evil people aren't usually the protagonist.
