From rising directors James Mather and Stephen St. Leger, LOCKOUT stars Guy Pearce (THE HURT LOCKER, upcoming PROMETHEUS), along with Maggie Grace (TAKEN, ABC’s LOST) and Peter Stormare (ARMAGEDDON, upcoming HOW I SPENT MY SUMMER VACATION). The film will be in theaters everywhere on April 20, 2012.

Obviously playing the "homage" game. Looks like Escape from New York. (But hey... "Escape" was a pretty damn fun movie and this one is IN SPACE!)

I agree, TL. People will make comparisons (and I'm pretty sure they are not unwanted by the film makers) but the Kurt Russell flick premiered over 30 years ago (wow!).

A lot of time has passed and I'm willing to see if these guys have something new to say.

Looks like a a merging of Fortress, and Escape from New York with a little bit of Outland thrown in.

I'll probably wait for the DVD.

I will either pass or wait for the DVD. I saw absolutely nothing new in the trailer. It seems to be just a retread of a story that's been done many times before.

FORTRESS!! That's the one I've been trying to remember! That was the one with Christopher Lambert. Yup, definitely has the look and feel of just about everything you mentioned.

I'm willing to give it a shot just in the hopes that it will be a fun action flick, but...
I'm with you, unless a free pass falls in my hand, I'll take this in at home.
