New Girl star Zooey Deschanel, no stranger to the genre, (she was seen in 2005's
The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy) is in talks to take the lead role in
About Time.
The movie, described as a time travel drama-comedy, is from
Love Actually director Richard Curtis. Deschanel would play Mary, the love interest for Tim, a young man who, according to
Variety, “comes from a family of time-travelers.” Once Tim learns of his unique heritage, he begins using his newfound abilities to change complicated situations.
Variety reports that Tim could be played by Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson, best known for playing Bill Weasley in the final two Harry Potter films.
