Movie monsters have been with us since the earliest days of film. Some have been incredible, some have been scary and some have been absolutely horrible and down right bad.
A recent viewing and discussion of the film “Splice” brought on a larger talk about what exactly makes a good movie monster.
Not surprisingly “Alien” comes up a lot.
1968 brought us a movie like nothing anyone had seen before. “Planet of the Apes”.
Steve and Christopher take a look back at this creative, imaginative and groundbreaking film and it’s many sequels.

Just back from this year’s Starfest — Chris, Steve and John host a lively round table discussion about J.J. Abrams reboot of the Star Trek franchise. Was it a success or utter failure?
